Stroke Rehabilitation (Cerebral Vascular Accidents)
Rehabilitation after a stroke is a comprehensive process involving working on range of motion, strength, balance, and walking. It also involves retraining the brain to recognize one side of the body. Pictured here is a new treatment technique called "Mirror Box Therapy". In this treatment, a mirror box is used to train the brain to recognize movement on the weak side of the body through visualizing the reflection of the good side. This is just one of many approaches we take to help rehabilitate people after strokes.
